Hello abundance, goodbye lack.
What is abundance? One definition I’d like to use: ‘A very large quantity of something’. Ask yourself. How abundant are you in your life?
Having an abundant mindset really is EVERYTHING. Reflecting over the past few months and the topics we have covered, we know that our thoughts, feelings and emotions are the basis of the quality of our lives. The language scripts we run in our minds over and over energetically brings more of the same.
What is an abundant mindset?
An abundance mindset refers to the paradigm that there is plenty out there for everybody. ... Another way of looking at this phenomenon is in terms of a scarcity mentality versus an abundance mindset. Stephen Covey initially coined these terms in his best-selling book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. In other words, this mindset is curious, growth perspective and gratitude for what we have, that life is happening for us, not ‘to’ us.
How can we shift from a scarcity mindset to an abundant mindset
Surround yourself around those that have an abundant mindset, those that focus on what they want, the gratitude they have for all they have (including the lessons that you learn on the way), solution based thinkers who have a win win approach to life and all the opportunities that are possible. Small shifts to help embed this mindset:
* get into the habit of finding thanks throughout your day about the little things
* connect and spend time with people who have an abundant mindset - it’s infectious
* look at failure as learning (and ask yourself what you have learnt and be thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow
* for every challenge look for the opportunities
How does an abundant mindset link to peace?
When you have a mindset which is truly abundant you will find more peace within you. You are less conflicted, you are what I might describe as being in ‘flow’ with yourself, others and the world around you. When you are in peace, you have less resistance (which is blocked energy), everything feels much easier, and aligned, you’ll also experience ease physically in the body as well as your mind and soul.
Being aware of how peaceful you feel and are, is a great moment to consciously take note of what the key ingredients are as to why you feel peaceful. Journaling is a fantastic way to be your own detective and to learn patterns about your habits, your energy and your mindset.
